Thermal stripping
Thermal stripping is suitable for heavily coated painting aids, and parts which are not temperature-sensitive. The components are stripped in pyrolysis furnaces at temperatures of up to 430°C, depending on the material and the level of coating. Our installations are highly efficient and operate with an innovative method of heat recovery. What is more, the exhaust gas from the furnaces is cleaned by afterburning.
Two types of after-treatment ensure a clean surface and protection of the parts stripped: blasting with soft-iron granules removes the ash residue thoroughly and, at the same time, seals the surface. Chemical after-treatment uses chemical methods to remove the ash; the parts are then freed of rust and passivated.
